The town of Onancock nestles between two forks of a creek on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, the Eastern Shore is a land of tiny towns, winding waterways, farms and forests. Begin your exploration of the area with a visit to Onancock.

Founded in 1680, Onancock is now home to 1,500 lucky residents. Visitors can peek into art galleries and fun shops. Several restaurants serve tasty meals. There are half a dozen upscale places to stay, from restored Victorian Bed & Breakfast inns with porch swings to a boutique hotel. And enjoy the other things to do around town.

Spring/Summer OBCA Meetings: April 2, June 4, July 2 and August 6,2013, 7 p.m. at Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church, Market and Lee streets, Onancock.

Second Friday Art Stroll: April 12, 5-8 p.m., and every second Friday thereafter until December 13, 2013. Participating shops and galleries feature local artists, demonstrations and specials, with dining in eclectic eateries.
