Halloween Weekend in Onancock

October 24 - 26, 2025 (Note: Trick-or-treating will be on actual Halloween, Friday, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m.)

Join us in Onancock for spirited Halloween festivities, taking place from October 24th to 26th. Celebrate the spooky season with a weekend filled with festive activities for all ages. Area homes and businesses go creatively creepy!! Visit Experience Onancock for lodging and dining options.

Enjoy a vibrant display of costumes and seasonal decorations as the community gathers to showcase our Halloween. There will be tricks, treats, and the horrifically wonderful Halloween Parade & Zombie flash-dance. Don’t miss the wildly wonderful Halloween Parade Saturday, 6-7pm followed by the great Pumpkin lighting and a halloween concert by the Community Band! Friday

Halloween Movie “Little Shop of Horrors” - 7pm at the Roseland Theater

North Street Playhouse's Haunted Asylum from 5 - 9 pm. $10 at the door

Saturday

Great Pumpkin Carve and Jack O’Lanterns on the Town Square: Carving noon-4pm Lighting at dusk (approximately 7 pm). Sponsored by the Brockmeiers.

The Community Band plays Halloween Favorites at the town Square Pumpkin Lighting 6:45-7:45

Halloween Parade (assemble at the Queen Street Parking Lot off Ames Street) Parade runs 6 to 7pm finishing at Town Square with Pumpkin lighting & Community Band Concert.

  • Zombie flash-dance - show up at 5pm dressed as a Zombie to learn the dance or join pre-parade line dance practices for extra fun. (NEXT tuesday 5:15-5:45 Exmore Moose Lodge parking Lot) Super fun and super easy to learn!!

  • Cacophony Band - arrive at 5:30pm with pots & pans, kazoos other noise-making instruments! No talent needed; just good energy.

  • Wag & Wiggle Walk - assemble at 5:45pm with your dogs and matching costumes!

  • Group Gang Costumes - have group costumes? Assemble at 5:45pm!

  • Family Costumes - bring your kids and family to walk in the parade! Assemble at 5:45pm

  • Goth carts - assemble at 5:45pm. Decorate your golf cart for halloween and ride on!

North Street Playhouse's Haunted Asylum - 5-9pm. $10 at the door.

Onancock Creepy Bar Crawl - Downtown Bars & Restaurants will be serving themed drinks! Grab a card at any participating restaurant, collect a stamp from each one, and turn it in for a chance to win $125 in Onancock restaurant gift cards! Participating restaurants include: Mallards, Maurice/Kuchi, The Blarney Stone Pub, The OT, and Bizzotto’s.

Southern Fog Band Monster Fog Bash - Blarney Stone Pub, 6-9 p.m.

Costume Party & DJ - Mallards at the Wharf, 8-11 p.m. Win a $100 gift card.

Spooky Evening Shopping - Downtown exhibits and retail open until 7pm

6th Annual Witchy Paddle - 3-5 pm Dress up and kayak or stand-up paddleboard on Onancock Creek. Free with your own kayak/SUP or rent from Burnham Guides
