Halloween Weekend in Onancock

Celebrate the spooky season with a weekend filled with festive activities for all ages. Area homes and businesses go creatively creepy!! This year our theme is BATS-( very helpful in controlling mosquitos by the way) Bat houses available at Imaginarium. Visit Experience Onancock for lodging and dining options.

Enjoy a vibrant display of costumes and seasonal decorations as the community gathers to showcase our Halloween. There will be tricks, treats, and the horrifically wonderful Halloween Parade & Zombie flash-dance. Don’t miss the wildly wonderful Halloween Parade Saturday, 6-7pm followed by the great Pumpkin lighting and a halloween concert by the Community Band! Friday

Halloween Movie “Resident Evil” - 7pm at the Roseland Theatre

North Street Playhouse's Haunted Palace from 6-8 pm. $10 at the door

Saturday

Great Pumpkin Carve on the Town Square: 9 am-2pm. Bring the family and carve a pumpkin that will be lit and displayed through Halloween! Just bring your creativity and Halloween Spirit (pumpkins and tools provided). This event is sponsored by the Onancock Business and Civic Association.

Halloween Parade: 6 p.m., finishing at Town Square with Pumpkin lighting & Community Band Concert, 6-7:30 p.m.

  • Zombie flash-dance - Zombie camps: 10/14 5:30 @ 85 market St Onancock

    10/20. 5:30@ Exmore Moose Lodge

  • Cacophony Band - bring pots & pans, kazoos other noise-making instruments! No talent needed; just good energy.

  • Wag & Wiggle Walk - bring your well-behaved, leashed dogs and matching costumes!

  • Group Gang Costumes - Get your family, business or organization together and walk!

  • Goth carts - Decorate your golf cart for halloween and ride on!

North Street Playhouse's Haunted Palace - 5-9pm. $10 at the door.

Spooky Evening Shopping & Creepy Onan-Cocktails at participating restaurants.

Live music at Mallards and the Blarney Stone Pub, 6-10 p.m. - TBA

Sunday

7th Annual Halloween Paddle - 3-5 pm Dress up and kayak or stand-up paddleboard on Onancock Creek. Free with your own kayak/SUP or rent from Burnham Guides
