Leo and Remi are thirteen-year-old best friends. The boys have a close friendship at school and in the flower fields where they and their parents pick the harvest. When schoolmates shoot a wedge into the relationship, the consequences are fatal. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, the film is an emotionally transformative and unforgettable portrait of the intersection of friendship and love, identity and independence, heartbreak and healing. We all had best friends and these two young boys show us a familiar story in what feels like a fresh and urgently new way, with sensitivity, sadness and promising glimmers of hope.
