Friday, December 9

Second Friday Participating shops and galleries stay open late and feature local artists, demonstrations and specials. Dine in international and eclectic eateries.

Saturday, December 10

Santa Comes to Town Kayaking reindeer lead Santa’s arrival by boat at the Town Dock, where he will listen to children’s holiday wishes.

Christmas Homes Tour Private homes in this beautiful, waterfront town will be open to the public and decorated for the holidays. Tickets available for purchase later this year.

Holiday Open House at Ker Place National and Virginia Historical Landmark, built in 1799-1803, is the finest example of Federal architecture on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Music Festival Annual music festival, featuring a variety of performances, hosted by Historic Cokesbury Church. Free and open to the public.

North Street Playhouse A special Christmas production for the entire family.

Sunday, December 11

Hometown Christmas Parade Fire trucks, ponies, floats, bands and more, from across the Eastern Shore of Virginia, will parade down Market Street and through town.

Second Fridays in Onancock
Second Friday evening of each month, April through December 5-8 p.m. Participating shops and galleries stay open late featuring local artists, demonstrations and specials, with dining in international and eclectic eateries.

Onancock International Films
has made the Roseland Theatre the place to be on the second Thursday of the month for over eight years. A non-profit group of movie lovers research and choose films from around the world that will entertain the Eastern Shore. The key is a variety of cultures as well as a mix of comedy, romance and more serious films. Looking forward to continuing the tradition, they are now in their 27th season of four films, presented at 8 PM on the second Thursday of the month.

The Onancock Market
Located at the corner of Market and Ames Streets, The Onancock Market is open every Saturday 8AM to 12PM, May through October, Rain or Shine. This open air market features local farmers, watermen, artists and artisans who offer their fresh, seasonal, and locally grown and manufactured products and qualified art directly to residents and visitors in the community.
