15th Annual Christmas Homes Tour

On December 13,2014 OBCA will be sponsoring their 15th Christmas in Onancock Homes Tour and Music Festival.  

Find the magic in six unique homes and enjoy the Music Festival at the Historic Cokesbury Church.  Ker Place Museum will be hosting an open house with nutcracker display, childrens activities and a photo op with Santa -Free.

The Tour runs from 1-5PM as does the Music Festival.  Ticket prices are $15.00 before Thanksgiving and $20.00 after Thanksgiving and may be purchased at: Red Queen Gallery, the Bank Coffee House, Book Bin, CD Marsh Jewelers, The Yellow Duck Cafe, or at the following link: Onancock Christmas Homes Tour.  If you prefer to purchase tickets the day of the event you may do so at Ker Place or the Historic Onancock School.

Over the past 15 years the Homes Tour has donated more than $85,200. to various organizations.  This year's recipients will be the Eastern Shore Literacy Council which provides free tutoring to adult Shore residents so that they may acquire skills needed to improve their lives and Waste Watchers of the Eastern Shore which promotes the responsible disposal of waste through litter control, education and encouraging recycling.

Santa's Arrival by Boat

Santa arrives by boat at the town Wharf at 11 AM on December 13th.  Bring your list of wants and wishes and let Santa know you have been a good boy or girl.

Second Fridays in Onancock
Second Friday evening of each month, April through December 5-8 p.m. Participating shops and galleries stay open late featuring local artists, demonstrations and specials, with dining in international and eclectic eateries.

Onancock International Films
has made the Roseland Theatre the place to be on the second Thursday of the month for over eight years. A non-profit group of movie lovers research and choose films from around the world that will entertain the Eastern Shore. The key is a variety of cultures as well as a mix of comedy, romance and more serious films. Looking forward to continuing the tradition, they are now in their 27th season of four films, presented at 8 PM on the second Thursday of the month.

The Onancock Market
Located at the corner of Market and Ames Streets, The Onancock Market is open every Saturday 8AM to 12PM, May through October, Rain or Shine. This open air market features local farmers, watermen, artists and artisans who offer their fresh, seasonal, and locally grown and manufactured products and qualified art directly to residents and visitors in the community.
